Car ('04 206) failed its MOT apparently needs new front brakes and front links to pass, and there are a few little things. Gonna be about £300 worth of work :/ What a fucking rip off, If my dad was here we'd have done the work ourselves for about £60 in parts and an hours tinkering. At least I feel a bit less of a bastard about my IT Services rates now that I've seen what Mechanics get away with. Insurance coming up shortly too, that'll be another £300-£400. /wave most of my savings. I've probably done less than a thousand miles in the last 12 months too. I feel your pain too having just had a similar MOT experience myself. Mine was mostly self inflicted though having bought the car in the dark knowing it had a short MOT and then taking it to a Rolls Royce/Bentley specialist for the MOT. Still cheaper than the Quick Fit across the road though.

It's the forth of May. There for it's Jedi day. May the forth be with you always Also I have no undergone the required training that will enable me to work on tills for a chain of fast food restaurants specializing in deep fried chicken. And the icing on the cake is that I've finally come to the end of the long stretch. HOORAY!

No fear there. One thing this job does is let you behind the sceans. And there is nothing that will stop you eating or drinking in certain places, than a look at the areas your not supposed to see.

Waiting to see if I get an interview for a job. Had a call this morning from a recruiting agency i'd left my CV at and it all sounds quite promising. The recruited said my CV looks good and the company is apparently moving quite quickly so could have an interview in the next few days.
Job description and company website is pretty ambiguous as to what I'd actually be doing. It's a "Telecoms engineer" role, but the skills they were looking for were all networking and server administration, which is what i want to do.
