Good luck Tommy. A friend of mine decided to quit cold, locked himself in his house with enough supplies to last for a week, and emerged slightly wrecked but a shadow of his former level of addiction. He said he wouldn't recommend doing it quite so hardcore, but on the other hand he did it for a pretty hot girl he had a crush on who hated smoking and they got together the next day, so I guess it really couldn't wait.

Even though you have enough to last you to the end of the day, don't have them. It's a psychological thing where ekeing them out over the course of the day, knowing they could be your last and trying to enjoy them as much as possible elevates their position in your mind and makes them more important to you.

Just say to yourself, right, that one I had an hour ago was my last.

Something else that might help, carry a bottle of water around with you, every time you feel like smoking, drink the whole bottle instead, then go and refill it. Or go and make a cup of tea.

Good Luck! Not that you need it, It's simply a case of whether or not you actually want to quit.

But he quit smoking after (I think) 30 years.

So being a selfemployed childminder is hard. Almost everything concerning work is not working good at the moment. But the last time it was like that I got 3 more daycare kids and I just hope it will be better soon.

Well but a pretty good thing is, that we will be getting married in 3 months, 2 weeks and 5 days.

Mrs Bystander crashed the car (again) today whilst parking (again), in her favour the Citroen Picasso is a truly awful car to park with massive blind spots everywhere. She also had a big meeting at work with her bosses and hopefully most of the issues she is having with the brain dead scum they have hired will be sorted out.  She also starts maternity leave in 3 weeks, got to leave work 4 hours early and as they had forgotten to tell her she had been taken off todays shift and put on Friday's shift she gets to start work 3 hours late so she can pick up the kids.  Result!  She is so much happier now, it's like living with a different person.
