Me too, I have to change 3000 Polish VAT records because they change their tax values in January. If we can't do it with a mass update we'll need to do it manually which could potentially take all night...

Fortunately the shift today was alot better than yesterday Smiley

Plus I just go paid, and it's my first week being paid with tips, and my paycheck is double what it has been so far D: so pretty much, my weekly wage = my tips per week Shocked

Also something nice happened today, we had two "big" bookings today (a table of 12 and 10), both of which were seated on the tables I was doing. Anyway, i worked my arse off for them and the table of 12 racked up a bill of £300. When payment came around, they left a tip of £10. When you consider that's split between everyone it made me go .

C'est la vie I thought. Then before they left, one of the guys came up to me and slipped me £5, saying that was just me. Technically I should of added that to the tip jar...but instead it bought me a beer after work Cheesy

If the programmer/database designer didn't make VAT a variable, he needs a good punch in the face.

Also, our VAT goes up in Jan too. Hope this doesn't make more work for you.


Anyway, I've spent the past 15 or so hours playing around with ZFS on OpenIndiana (Solaris), fun times.
