Yello! Since you're all being miserable I thought I'd pop on here and tell you all how wonderful I am doing. Well...not *that* wonderful - but I've had a pretty good weekend so there.
Last weekend was fairly uninteresting - went to the fireworks display in Horsham with work colleagues - was probably one of the best ones I've ever been to. Was nice to see work colleagues in a non-work setting.
Last week at work was alright really - spent the whole of monday learning about MS Project which was alright. Spent Tuesday at the NI Days at the IET in London where Prof. Brian Cox (the guy from wonders of the solar system and generally pretty cool physicist) gave the keynote speech and then participated in a panel discussion about STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) which was really interesting. Got to play with some really expensive bits of electronics (~£20k worth) and then sat my LabVIEW Associate Developers Exam which I'm pretty sure I passed! (Normally £100 to do - but you can do it for free at their events) Should get the results in a few weeks after they've returned the answer sheet to America :O
As some of you are aware - I went on a date on Saturday night with an actual woman who wasn't blind. (and it's probably the first time I have done so in perhaps 3 years) I travelled home on Saturday and then took her for a nice meal in a nice restaurant (I had sea-bass - it was yummy

) and then went to the cinema to see Paranormal Activity 2 - which was pretty funny as my date revealed to me that she was pretty jumpy and essentially that's all this film is. Long periods of nothing happening and then suddenly BAM something makes you jump. It got me a couple of times - and the atmosphere of the film was ruined by some chavs in front of us - except for the one loud comment of 'Haha - that girl just got owned by a ghost'. Anyway...after the film we had arranged that we would meet up with some mutual friends of ours (she knows one of my girl friends quite well - but she has only met a couple of my friends once before and very briefly) for some drinks. I couldn't drink as I was driving but I had a good night all the same (I had actually almost forgotten that you can have fun on a night out without drinking). Unfortunately one of my friends is a) a very loud personality and b) a serial flirt (even though he has a long term girlfriend of many years, who he has cheated on) and yeah - he kinda drowned me out a bit.
Anyway - I had a good night, gave her a lift home (I picked her up as well), gave her a kiss on the cheek as she left and then drove home at about 3:30am having absolutely no idea how it went or if she's even interested. I am rubbish at picking up on things like that!
I had a good night, I think she did. Who knows what will happen next...I'm rubbish at this!

Also remembered to pick up my electronics toy box so I can play around with my EL wire kit when it arrives and then think about something awesome to do with it.
