Blegh, after fixing my line, my connection was ok for an hour or two, but then completely messed up all afternoon before mysteriously clearing up after midnight (when they turn off their "peak hour" QOS measures ... coincidence?) . It's not usually this bad, i'm hoping it was something to do with my ordering a Line regrade. (going from fixed 2Mb an "up to 8Mb" Pro package, for an extra fiver a month) Sync speeds haven't changed yet. My line should support around 4Mb. I wanted to change ISP's, but the good ones are almost double my budget (since I need reasonable daytime caps). Hopefully my line sorts itself out after the upgrade because I'm tied into a contract for 12 months now.

We had the Fresher's Fair on Monday and Tuesday. Good news: I got 200-and-something people (84 fully paid) to sign up to my Real Ale Society. Bad news: I have to decipher all their names and emails from the sign up sheets and copy them up into a spreadsheet, which is what I'm doing today.
Fun times.

Cheers man, the feeling is mutual.
I'm about half way through at the moment. I somehow doesn't think "Eddy McScoobydoo" gave me his real name....

Arrgh, flipping UPS (parcel delivery). Apparently they couldn't find my house because it didn't have a street address ... because I don't live on a street. Never had this problem before, including deliveries from UPS recently.
So I ring up and it turns out that the drivers aren't provided with GPS. WTF. I ask why, in that case, the drivers can't ring up their office and get directions from someone sitting at a computer, but apparently UPS don't provide their drivers with phones either, and it's "up to the drivers discretion" whether they use their personal phones. So pissed off, delivery is rescheduled for Monday and I've given them directions + my contact number but its caused me a three day delay.
I have equal parts hate for UPS running such a shoddy operation, and the driver for being a lazy git who cares more about using up one of his minutes than doing his job properly.

Seems pretty backward of them to not give the drivers GPS systems. Surely all their competition is doing so?

That. Also, last night at about 4am aparently (I don't remember any of this) I sat up and screamed, full on "I'm being fucking murdered" type scream and started jabbering about snakes, to the point that my Mrs was so scared she had to sleep with the light on... Homer Simpson much?

What the hell is going on in your unconsious mind dude?
Well one lucky person in the UK won the £113,000,000 jackpot. And from the bottom of my heart I can tell you I'm gutted it wasn't me. I've still got to work for a living. Bugger! There is no consolation that I matched 2 numbers and a luck star nuimber. I'm greedy. I wanted the £113,000,000.
Oh well, back to work for me.

Just spent the day in hospital with my baby daughter.... waiting mostly. Originally though to have Septicemia (very bad) or a kidney infection (potentially bad), turns out there is a non serious virus with many of the symptoms of both. Now home and relieved. Just wish they could of told us 8 hours ago and our Sunday wouldn't of been wasted in a windowless treatment room.
We got given a bread maker as few days ago. It is now making bread.... I hope. Should be ready by 9pm

I find myself stark naked except for a pair of latex gloves attempting to pull on a pair of red tights on in my parent's spare bedroom.
