Snipers have to aim, Spuds just spam.
If you ambush and shoot a sniper first, he won't be able to kill you ... this is the most frustrating thing, it's a bloody "I win" button in any close range fight.

Grenades should be used for situations where it's difficult to shoot people directly, not as a substitute for bullets.

Oh yeah...and those of you who were miffed at the fact I could kill people from ~200m away with a headshot with a shotgun, this is why:



12g shotgun slugs. fires a single accurate lump of metal rather than lots of pieces of buckshot. I think now you understand why...that thing would put a decent sized hole into any cranium

+ amazing accuracy and power at long range

You wouldn't believe how often I got "shotgunned" by a sniper rifle, those bloody things do enough damage that they can kill you unscoped

Yes there is skill in being a sniper, but generally a sniper has an "I win" button at extreme range. My point is about *annoyance* not skill

I'd have to counter with the fact that most snipers are far away, close to their spawn point or rally point. You've normally no chance to get near a sniper without going through his team and other defenders. The ability to ambush a sniper is limited in most circumstances I feel - that is the point of being a sniper. To attack and not be in the thick of it. Normally a good sniper will be behind his team mates, so it isn't always the case of getting a "good ambush in". Also, most snipers I've met are pretty good with pistols and nades too, so it's not as if a sniper is an easy target.

I do know what you mean about noob tubing.. it is hard to avoid (as Kenny showed me last night). I dish out a fair bit of tubing myself, but normally in the face of multiple enemies or when I'm defending an MCOM point. The main issue with BBC2, is that you can be in a 1 v 1 firefight and then get the enemy squad spawn on the person you are attacking. The noob tube is very good at starting or finishing a fight, and I've no regret in using it. Like I said, if you find yourself up against 2 or 3 attackers it helps massively.

The issue you (and lots of people have) is that it is can be easy to do and easy to kill. That doesn't make it wrong imho.
