yeah I was playing on a server with this on, its useless. It just threatens people and thats not really a good way to go about it, I ignored it and it gives you so many warnings that by the time its thinking about doing something, a new person tends to join and balances the teams anyway. Any autobalance that doesn't just autoswitch people when they are dead is useless.

It's not as good as a real one, but a nice workaround IHMO.

yes but deadly can make decisions about when a balance needs to be enforced, if the teams are say 14-16 chances are this will even up quickly with new players joining a nearly full server, that mod just spams messages to your screen and I find that really annoying, its interrupting my game for a minor imbalance (usually). If it was my server i'd probably set it up to only take action when the teams are greatly imbalanced >2 and to give one warning to a singleplayer, and then kick them. This one faffs around far too much and grieves me more than the minor imbalance does. Also its a lot more effective an admin saying it over chat, most people will ignore the automated messages, I certainly did especially with the length of time it took to act.

I think this is always going to be a problem with the game due to the squad system. If I get moved away from 3 friends to be with a load of randoms (or, worse, on my own), I'll just leave the server. I think disco is right in that you have to accommodate minor imbalances and move 2-3 players at once.

Yeah cruel - a lot of the admin tools offer an autobalance feature, but like disco says it's generally a pain and a hacky workaround for something that should have been sorted in the first place.

Generally though if I'm at my computer I have the admin tool running so I can see how unbalanced the server is and shout at people to fix it or I'll start kicking until they're even.

I've just updated my server to run conquest & rush including the new maps

If I had my way, I think vehicle whoring would be classified as being as "bad" as noobtubing

And I lol'd hard when you entered a gunship to use the gun against my team... without actually flying the helicopter. PLUS how you can fly in a full sniper camouflage outfit I'll never know!

sigs been broken for about a week, stats should be updating again now. I had no pilot junta but big rape gun on the ground is still better than running around . Armour whore or chopper whore are the traditional insults if you want to use those junta , I feel theyre a tier below though noobtubing though, because my tank or chooper makes loud noises and you should get out of my way, whereas an assault dude just makes a little fwoosh and you are dead. And you know, same answer as everything around here with my wang.

Actually a game like this would lend itself to some in-game autobalancing by tweaking parameters in relation to teamsizes (slower spawn time for vehicles etc).

But for now I would just as well take a working and useful server browser ...
