Yea, looks like steam is coming to mac About time I say! Spore/Sims3 are mac compatible out of the box! and steam switched to the webkit engine for the web side of steam meaning it's gonna be an easier port for steam from here

It's pretty much sure that steam will be released for mac, the current beta has quite a few OSX related files in it.

If Civ4 is really cheaper then the absolutely-fuck-me-ridiculous prices they are online for the Mac versions and expansions, I'll be set. Only thing I need on a long trip

nah.. they have 2 buttons.. but it's retarded for games
you can use pretty much any mouse on a mac though
3+ button mice require drivers to use anything more than 2 buttons though

My dads mac only has one button; I think you can squeeze it or something for *right click equivilant*. His mouse also has a little nipple.

I think if you're playing with people using a mac it should have a little apple symbol by their name - that way you can single them out to fully abuse them One thing I wonder - is that I know that the source engine is pretty awesome and all that (and come a long way since Half Life 2 - but isn't it getting a little dated now? Rather than convert a 6 year old game engine to work on a new OS (ok...it's probably better for them from a marketing/sales points of view with the huge back-catalogue of games) that they could maybe spend the time working on creating a new engine (that is MAC & PC compatible out of the box) or updating it to work with newer technologies (e.g. DX > 9).
