While i agree that the AC2 drm is worse on the whole since the game is completely single-player, the c&c4 stuff is still pretty shit given that you can lose unsaved progress while playing the single-player portion if your internet drops. EA stated that there would be no drm for this game (somehow they mustn't have considered this to be drm) then they changed their tune when people called them out on it.
It's also annoying since I was actually considering getting this game, whereas I don't give a shit about AC2.
The lead designer spoke about this in the rps interview, I bet Jim Sterling thinks he awesome for uncovering this (really starting to hate his guts).
I don't get this impression from the post I linked to at all, the point of the article was that you will lose progress if your connection drops (it's even in the title), this wasn't mentioned in the rps interview. I don't see how you got the impression that Sterling thinks he uncovered this, he plainly credits the "folks at PC Gamer" with finding the information. Did you even read the article?
Is there any particular reason you hate Jim Sterling, or is it just because he's "smelly"?
