I'm VAC banned!

I was playing CS1.6 last night with some freinds in some scrims. Wake up this morning because I fancy some CS:S and I can't join any servers!

Our team last night had a tiff with the other one (last on played) and they accused us of cheating!
I tell my team I have to go cuz I'm tired, go to bed and sleep. Wake up in the morning and try to play something.. I get this Error message

You cannot connect to the selected server, because it is running VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) secure mode.

This Steam account has been banned from secure servers due to a cheating infraction.

So no more TF2 on Server #1 or #2 for me
No more TF2 at all really
No ETF2L
No CS:S
No multiplayer at all!

Anyone got any advice?

Oh no! Arent' VAC bans time delayed, is it possible it's from when your account got hacked?

I was just about to post again in the shoutbox, AFAIK there is no apealing a VAC ban and since the system has been in place theres been a tiny tiny number unbanned. Unfortunatly mate, I think you're fucked.

Your only option is to buy all your Valve games again, but even that won't get you back in ETF2L if I remember correctly as you can't have duel accounts.

edit - Also, as others have pointed it, its more then likely from the time your account got hacked, not from playing CS:S last night; VAC bans usually take a few months to kick in.

Steam Support does not release any information regarding VAC bans and they cannot unban anyone!

As Hzza says, your best option is probably to get another steam account, get TF2/etc cheap, and then switch between the two when you want to play your other stuff. I don't know if you can mass transfer games between two accounts (i.e. the non VAC bannable ones). Terrible luck

First of all, your chances of getting unbanned are very, very slim.
Are you certain you didn't have a cheat installed? Sometimes people put cheats in normal stuff in order to get other people banned.

IF you are certain it was during the time your account was hacked:
Did you use their support team to recover your account? Unfortunately you didn't tell the whole story, but if they have records of your account being hacked AND that the cheat happened during that, maybe they'll reverse it.
But I estimate the chance to be very slim!

I've heard that they wouldn't do that Cruel, as it would allow someone to use hacks themselves, then claim their account was hacked to get unbanned. I think I read an article about the VAC system and it said they've only ever unbanned people that were using some HLDM mod/pluggin that registered a false positive. It's a brutal system, but then I suppose it has to be.

I really think this is pretty crappy from Valve. If this happened to me I'd probably ragequit the whole thing, awful.

Can't you just kick chaos from the clan  on ETF2 and come back with a new name on a new account?

 I know this doesn't solve the problem of the games, but doesn't screw up your TF2 carreer.

You could, but if you get found out you get a years ban from the league I think. There might be some kind of apeal system but I haven't really read up that much on it to be honest.

Thats not correct, I could change my steamID after a long discussion with an admin last year because my old account was shut down due to unpaid stuff -> http://steamcommunity.com/id/tazdingo12 . Might get more complicated with vac banned accounts
