I got bored very quick by Bulletstorm so thats a NEGATIVE.

I got Fear 3 thanks to Deadly. From what I heard its fun in 2player coop, so if anyone wants to try that out, gimme a shout.

I really want Rayman, but 14,99 is still too much for my likes.

The Arma2 page explicitly mentions DayZ, I think I've never seen that for a mod.

I don't think bohemia deserve anywhere near £15 for their game. Especially now day z announced standalone by the end of the year. Don't want to pay for it twice.

I'm willing to put up with bugs but I mean I don't want to pay for arma 2, and then have to pay for dayz standalone later and just end up with arma 2 which is entirely worthless to me. I guess maybe europe might win the right of digital software resale and maybe one day I could resell it but hmm.

I've no interest in Arma 2. It would be annoying to buy it, and £15 is not negligible, and have it cluttering up my computer if a standalone comes out later.

I'll be honest here in a few ways regarding DayZ.

Firstly, I think that if you have any interest in this at all, it's worth your time and your money to buy this now - regardless of the fact that the creator wants to see it go stand-alone (which FYI, there are plenty of reasons for).

Secondly, I think unless you've got a good grasp of tinkering with files and updates manually, you should avoid DayZ completely. It's also not for anyone with a lack of patience, both gameplay and setup wise.

Thirdly, although he has stated that his desire is to go standalone, he's also stated that he's taking this into consideration if they do go this way, pricing wise. He's come out and publically stated that he doesn't want anyone to have to pay the same amount twice and that the standalone would include a discount to reflect that.

I could go on about the alpha nature of this game and the fact that it most certainly is not for everyone, and the value proposition that the creator is putting out there for both current plans and the future plans for this as a mod and standalone.. but all the information is out there. Anyone who's seriously considering this will know most of this already. If anyone wants me to expand on any point, just let me know.

Also, some of my friends are planning a large grouping this Monday (tomorrow), for as much of the day and night as they can stomach. They are planning to try and find a server that has not yet had all the items hoarded, build some vehicles and hopefully tour the map in a bus. I'm sure they're up for more people to take part in this, in the best case scenario (this will not happen I'm sure) they are hoping for 30 people to group/split into groups.

If anyone is interested, please contact me today and I'll give you my mumble server details. There are 4 channels currently created incase they do split up with individual team tasks. I won't be taking part (until the evening at least), so hit me up today if you plan on getting on earlier than I'll be around.
