Does this explain the lack of extreme backstabbing this week Will? You got me a few times but I had the feeling on a couple of occasions that I had a near miss with the stab not working as it should  |

Not growing incompetence due to lack of practice. Ahem. @Brahms: the new one I nearly pre-ordered. It's called the IMPERATOR (  ) and it's very pretty and right handed, but massively overkill. 5600dpi is just silly. I think the pulse in my finger would move the cursor all the way across my screen. Actually, re: failing at spy recently plus people's growing fed-up-ness with regards to the dead ringer, I am trying to play other classes more. My aim's getting a little better as sniper and solly, so you may see scroggage playing different classes beginning with S. |

Dangit. I have the same double-clicky problem as OP. I'm still on my Logitech MX1000. And I happen to really dislike the haptics of a Lachesis, thankyouverymuch.  I'll probably end up with a Logi M500, or G500 as the shape's similar. Or I'll figure out something wireless, I kinda like not having a tail on my mouse. Also: LOL @tommythecat |

I've gone back to my lachesis for a little while.. but if you want something more ergo and you're used to logi mice, try the g5 or mx518

MX518 kicks ass, feels so nice and it's pretty cheap for a gaming mouse. |

Although now I'm kinda intrigued by the Imperator... I was not too disgusted by the feel of the deathadder (which I checked out again in the shop today), but as always I'd like to hold it in my hands first.
mx518 is a pretty damn decent recommendation at 25 eurons. ;-)

go for the mx518... its basically a g5 which is a sweet mouse.. I used to have one when they first came out (years and years ago) and it was awsome! Theyve made some upgrades since then though so I assume it's only better than before  |

I've got to check out these suggestions (versus cost). My current mouse is an old PS/2 Jobbie (hah, you laugh! I still can aim mostly hehe). That, full Windows 7 x64 compatibility and and a black mousepad would be a good thing to get now I think. Probably should replace my PS/2 keyboard, but it still does the job, nice and tappy - need a tappy keyboard, don't feel right without one |

I actually did notice a difference between mousing with my G5 (2000 DPI) and a Lachesis (5000 DPI)
When spinning at low speeds with my G5 I can perceive a stuttering effect that wasn't there with the lachesis. Not sure how much difference it'd make in the heat of the battle but..
Also, I tried using a 800 DPI optical and didn't find it sensitive enough.
I may just be a big moron, but I think if you're playing at high res you'll notice the higher DPI
