Then look here

You can find alternate contact numbers for companies and organisations, sometimes bypassing the automated queuing systems and getting to real human beings. Best of all, is that in most cases the alternative numbers found are much cheaper (i.e. standard or local rates) instead of the price of an 080 based number.

(for people in the UK btw)
