Well Ironically, it's about now. The original idear was the brain-child of Gassman. From what I remember it coensided with the Oscars. So a brief search of the WEB indicates that voting happens in January and the awards go out in Febuary.
What I should realy do is look back through the forums and find the original posts for nominations. I'm sure there is an exact date for the awards, but I've only had two mugs of tea so far.
What I'm proposing is to review the categories. Keep a lot. Loose a few. Dream up one or two new ones maybe. Once that's settaled then it's time for the nominations. This will go in the form openening a thread for the nomination and people can propose the 3 or 5 people they would like to see elegable (you can put yourself forward). I'll give that a week to run and then tally up the names. Top 5 or 3 then go through to the voting.
Voting will be a little different in that I hope I remember to tick the "blind" option this year. That way I'm hoping that the restults will be a genuin suprise.
With the results all in it's then a two pronged plan. First up is to write the results up all nice and spanky like. The slightly harder part is that I then have to write a small script & story board, get some props and then bribe/beg/ask my brother for the use of his studio and editing skills. The awards are then recorded, my brother does what he does best and the end result is uploaded to You Tube.
Should be a lot of fun
