Well I kinda get why, as it rains a lot in England, doesn't it? They're probably just fed up with having to ride their bicycles up a hill while it rains or something. I feel sorry when I see a bicycle riding mailwoman as I drive past her in my car and it's raining cats and dogs (or whatever that figure of speech is... tea maybe?). It's not the fun kind of being wet, I suppose.

Above video so true...
Yeah if it's a parcel the lazy bastards don't even bother checking that your in, they write the card in the van and post it. I waited in for something once, sat downstairs hear letterbox go, no knock on door, have a look and see just the red card. So I jump up to catch him and hasn't even got any parcels on him. Basically tells me to f**k off when I ask him why he couldn't even be arsed to do the job he's paid for and deliver the friggin mail.

you have no idea... They were getting close and committed to a resolution over the current strikes, and then 3 days before a big meeting they declare 3 more strikes in the coming weeks! Douchebags! how are they supposed to win public opinion with that kind of attitude?

If you were to take the sceptical view of things, not that having family involved with Royal Mail sways your view at all [honest ], you could sware blind that the whole system is being alowed to slowly crumble. Thus the patriotic British public won't be alarmed when other companys are brought in to collect, sort and deliver the mail. Because by then something will need to be done. A once proud and honest sytem has fallen into decay. However I still find it incredable that you can get a letter from Cornwall to Scotland for less than 40p. But that's sod all consolation when you've paid for a service, like recorded delivery, and it's delivered eventually at the other end with no signiture. At the end of the day postmen are human. And some of them are barstards

I'm another victim of the lazy parcel service.
The front door and letterbox drops into my bedroom, i've actually been sat at my computer and watched the "you were unavailable" slip drop through at my feet without so much as a knock. Needless to say after chasing down the street in my slippers to get my parcel I was not best pleased.
They are, however, usually really good value for money. a first class parcel is pretty much guaranteed next day and usually only costs a couple of quid - much less than courier services. My home postie in the country is pretty good too, can leave stamped letters and parcels by the front door and he'll take them back to the sorting station.

Problem is that you either get good service or bad.
I've had parcels and letters delivered on-time, and then I get parcels disappear and letters inexplicably go awry.
My favourite was the special delivery I "signed for" at home whilst in my work office in London. Priceless. They declared the parcel missing when I started to mention the word "fraud" when I could prove I wasn't at home when I "signed for" the parcel. Wouldn't mind, but didn't get the parcel either!

There's also the package I sent deadly.. took a good 2/3 months to get to him.. that whole time it was saying it was delivered! recorded delivery sucks ass.. I have had too many problems with royal mail to use them anymore.. Id pay extra and go for a courier
