Ok i'll bump this up. its started again for me. is this defiantly to do with AVG? i know that it started after i updated to the new version of AVG but is this confirmed anywhere, i haven't been able to find anything.

Sounds like it is AVG then. My other recommendation would be Avira, although I personally don't use any scanners like that on my home PC, it works well enough though from my uses elsewhere Smiley
