id recommend having the vehicle weapons upgrade as your standard vehicle spec, im pretty sure it buffs the miniguns, i find it kills people easy enough, what is hard is aiming anywhere near them especially with the spaz pilots in the game

Since when do you get gold tags with lvl34?

bronze tags are from ranks with stripes (1-21)
silver are for bars (22-33)
gold are for ranks with stars (34-50)

EDIT2: the internet can't make up its mind another site says
Bronze: Knife kill a player with the ranking 1-21 which is up to First Sergeant III and stops before officers.
Silver: Knife kill a player with the ranking 22-45 which is from Warrant Officer I to Colonel III
Gold: Knife kill a player with the ranking 46-50 which is from Brigadier General I to General of the Army.

Can I just ask if this game is really badly optimised or do I need to upgrade my system? Currently running it in Dx9, low graphics settings, a much lower res then any other game I play (1024xsummit) and I still get frame drops when lots of shits going on...I'm rocking a ATI 4850 (1024) and an Intel E8400, 4 gig ram etc, which seems to chew up most current gen games @1600x1200 (MW2, new Red Faction, ME2) but just really struggles with this.

Though I really don't think you should need those...

Prob your dual core holding you back, rather than CPU. It has fairly high utilisation on all four cores for me.
You should be able to push that CPU to at least 4GHz, which should improve things.

With a Quad at the same clocks as your E8400 (3Ghz) and a similar graphics card (8800GTX) I have no problems running at 1920x1200 on medium defaults.
