Using incompatible drivers is definately not recommended and could cause untold havoc..  Windows 7 is a completely different kernel/driver model windows 7.

You will spend hours trying to get it to work, and even if you do, you will more than likely be missing key features of the device.

For the sake of small money you could easily replace it with a Win Vista/7 compatible one which has the same functionality as your old one (if its not Vista compatible then its gotta be fairly old now), and save yourself lots of time and patience Smiley

I'm only offering my recommendation, nothing more.

You can do the same thing as XP mode using Sun's Virtualbox, which supports 3D acceleration.

Some ginger people are very luck.

I'm still at home as I'm filling in various forms for work.

I'm also still at home as my washing machine is beeping something about "E20". Which when you find the manual in your "Man Draw", you discover means that the filter is blocked. What a loverly job that is. At least the water in the machine was hot. And due to a bit of spillage, the kitchen floor is cleaner as well.

I haven't started the install yet as I wasn't expecting to get Win7 yet. So I have just this moment parted company with money that I dare not think about for 2 more hard drives and 8Gig of RAM. Ironically cheaper to get Cruical RAM from eBuyer, than direct from Cruical. Go figure.

Now I'm contemplating lunch, as it is that time of day. And I haven't had any confirmation from work as regards the parts I've ordered for the O2 shop in Abbergerveny and the Accessorize in Newport.

Anyway, this is my crappy part of the rota. Next 7 days of 9:00am to 5:30pm with standby till 9:00pm. Then imediatly after that 3 days of 9:00am to 5:30pm. Then at least I've got 4 days off to catch up on sleep Cheesy

So by the time my bits arrive in about a week (as there is no way in hell I'm paying £10 for postage) I should have 4 days off to back up my porn. Also many of you will have upgraded, so any pit falls will have been scouted out by your good selfs Smiley



Odd about your delivery Papa. PC world were dispatching it for delivery to customers for this Thursday. Unless the impending postal strike has changed things I would expect you to get your copies by Thursday.
