Cheez is Number 2 in Bristol (out of 288 not your poxy 31), can't find my name on there but possibly cos i haven't played in ages, or possibly just too rubbish

Yeah it looks like it was just due to lack of play, in summer cheez was still #2 but i was #19 out of 827 apparently

Well no one plays in our town apparently... 26 people aren't much of a competition.

I generally dislike the way HLStats is ranking people. It seems commitment (as in time spent playing) is much more helpfull than actually playing well. Sure you get points not only for killing, but in general - someone who joined a server for two hours and killed 1 person per minute would be ranked higher than someone who joined it and killed 20 people in one life within 10 minutes. That just seems wrong to me, as the first person didn't do very much and the other person is just plain awesome.

That's why I don't care much about HLStatX. Ranking by KPD or even better by Points/min would be a much better way to rank players in my opinion (and I would probably be WAY lower in the WDG rankings then).

Oh that. Oh yeah! We do it all the time all over the place! I blame the citizens of Denmark though. We're much more prude than that.

Yesterday we couldn't pay for the groceries, because at least 4 people were engaged in a sexual act right in the cashier checkout lane!

Oh and did I tell you about that one time, back in russia, where I encountered a freakin bear right outside of my house? There was an electricity outage and it was -50° outside, because I lived in Siberia and it's always cold there, but luckily I was (of course) drunk on all the vodka we drink all the time and I was wearing an Ushanka. Anyway, there is this bear outside of my door and... now I've run out of clichés

EDIT: Seriously though, is there a place where I can see that Top 10 list? Out of scientifical interest, of course.

This seems rather dubious. I would like to know how they calculate 'skill' (especially as I apparently have more 'skill' than Cheez ). I'm not sure which 'region' they have me in, I don't seem to be in any of the ones that might apply to me (Belfast, Antrim, etc.).

Purely by accumulation of all scores on all HLStatX enabled servers and you ARE ranked higher than Cheez on the WDG stats, so there. As I said, it doesn't take into consideration how long time it took to get the points, just how many points you got.
