I know I'm tired, but I'm having the same problem with aiming as with cod4... it just doesn't feel right.. maybe I need to play with the sensitivity a lot more :S

The aiming/hitboxes are terrible, and it isn't helped with ping and lag issues which is why sniping is such a ballache! Spray and pray until you get used to it  . |

lol! The only primary weapons worth using are the UMP, ACR and Intervention, IMO. Other then that, yeah, its all about the secondary.
Also, normal person with G18 = bad; Cheez + Intervention + marathon + G18 = everyone on the server raging/calling hax. Pretty fucking funny though!
Dont forget my evil Danger Close bada-boom loadout (2x Grenadelauncher + 2x RPG  ). Makes everyone rage! |

Yeah, the first 20-30 levels go quite quickly; unfortunatly, you won't be getting much good shit in that time (G18s, striker and throwing knife off the top of my head)! My recomendation is find a set up that you do alright with and just master it; I went with marathon, lightweight and commando with a silenced UMP and the USP with tac knife, another good combo is assult rifle/shotgun + slight of hand, stopping power and steady aim. Once you get a bit of map knowlege and know how to counter the shity tactics that people use you'll start owning and unlocking stuff pretty quickly. You did pick a bad time to start though, you just missed a free weekend (loads of newbs) AND double XP . I went from level 50 to 62! |

I would suggest any assault rifle with stopping power. Some do take a little getting used too but as a result I've never had my overall KD average in minus figures.

I also have it, but I didn't went for it because of the peer pressure of this free weekend. I went for it, because it was less than 20€ on amazon (and because of the peer pressure after the first free weekend).

I'd almost nearly be tempted for £20 but I can't overcome my inner moralfag knowing my money would go to acti and not even most of the studio leads behind it because of respawn. If they added dedicated servers or something they'd probably turn me to the dark side. Briefly

To be honest, I don't think dedicated servers would work that well. Even with lag/connection issues I think the system is better than spending ages searching for a decent server that isn't full of noobs/griefers/hackers etc or has stupid rules or whatever.
Despite IWNet being utter bullshit it's still good.
