The way they are doing things is a bit weird, so I wouldn't be surprised. When I say that I'm referring to the Gamersfirst software you have to register for and download to download the downloader for APB, which then downloads APB and lets you play it. Sort of like Steam except it has no features at all.

I assume gamer id is for logging in and nickname is how people see me?

Yeah, I don't remember the name, but I'd play it again. With people you know it's a blast! Had some epic car chases by now as well.
