Hydro has been officially declared shit By people who have declared process and standin official over good maps like snakewater... I think this aptly demonstrates that they have no taste in maps!

Or maybe that Choije isn't prepared to change the map to suit Valve's needs.
iirc, Byte could've had Obscure in as an official map as Valve approached him with a list of things they wanted in (or out of) the map before they made it official. Again, maybe this is the case for Snakewater.
People should note that one of the major changes to Gullywash prior to it being official was the dropdown at choke going into mid, that was one of the items Valve wanted Arnold to do for it to be included in the TF2 map roster.

http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=11024In our next update, the Dead Ringer will work generally the same way it always has, letting Spies feign death to escape from damage that would have otherwise killed them. However, now any damage the Spy takes after his "death" will decrease the maximum length of time he can spend cloaked. This gives any players chasing the Spy more of an opportunity to catch up and deal a real finishing blow, while also requiring more skill from any Spy trying to make his way to actual safety.
[...]as part of this next update, we've decided to change the way item set bonuses work. Players have traded for, purchased, and crafted these items, many in order to complete the sets and get these bonuses, and we're not abandoning the bonuses outright. Instead, we've moved the gameplay bonuses to specific items within the sets, and introduced new bonuses to these sets that won't affect gameplay balance.
+ More stuff.

Interesting. They said they'd be taking a look at weapon balancing but I'm sure it's too early for them to be reacting to feedback from the competitive lobbying they were looking at a month ago. They must have been looking at stats beforehand. Anything that nerfs the Dead Ringer gets my approval Plus an 80% equip rate shows that it's stifling different ways of playing spy..like the wrangler for the engie. If you don't whip out your wrangler you're a bad engie. But is Valve starting to put a bit of time into TF2 again? There is this, the new maps and of course the move to in-game competitive lobbymaking. There's no doubt TF2 is still popular. It gets trounced daily by DOTA 2 but it holds on steadily to second place. http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

Who on this server still uses the dead ringer primarily?
"Given the many other items available in this category" lol

Interesting that the Dead Ringer equip rate is nowhere near 80%. Wonder if they have looked at 'active' spy players rather than the population as a whole.

TF2 team probably have access to private inventories as well.
From memory, TF2stats only has access to public accounts.
I suspect though, Jebus, your idea is more likely.

Valve might also scale the data by playtime.
