Disagree beau. Heavy is hard work and most solly and demos will grind you quickly these days. Direct hit is a big problem for heavies too. Those hit points quickly go. Just try heavy against cheex.
that's kind of a null point tbh. That assumes you can beat cheez as another class lol. but your premise remains solid

my biggest woe as heavy is demomen, if they catch you off guard you're screwed. If they sticktrap at a choke point where you can't see the stickies you're screwed. If they can circle strafe and hit you you're screwed. A lot of them time I just die to demoman spam on the spam levels, too slow to get out of the way and often the spam is blocking chokepoints and my advance.

Who is this cheex guy, who has nearly stole my name! On topic: I think heavy and demo are similar in how you can approach certains areas.

(Is it me or are we spreading the heavy/demo discussion over 4 threads?) My problem when playing heavy is, that if you commit to a fight, you can't run away. As a solly I can spam a few rockets around the corner and run away if I notice people don't die fast enough. The time between unspinning and running away is more than enough time for my enemies to kill me.

You just need to realise when to run away a bit earlier. When I started off TF2, I never used to leg it when playing heavy. Since joing WDG, have picked up a fair few tips, and find I can get out of a firefight at just about the right time, though I don't play heavy much.

Well, I think updates are usually 2-6 months apart, and WAR! was about 2 1/2 months ago... But tbh. I'm still frightened by the idea of a engi update! Stay away! shoo!

In an recent interview Walker said that there would be at least one general update. Which could be anything, from new maps, new gamemode to more silly hats.

New blog updateDoesn't really need another thread. Quick summary: Item drop system changed from 'roll every so often to see if you get an item' to 'roll to find out when you'll next get an item', more item drops, limit on drops per week ("The amount varies, but if you play an hour or so a day you're good"), idling therefore less effective, drop rate will probably never be tied to game performance.

If you're an idler, you're going to find fewer items than you were prior to this change. Sorry. On the bright side, there's less reason to idle, because it won't earn more than players who are playing regularly. xD
