Added you both, if you're totally new to DotA/HoN then you might struggle at the start. Well, you definetly will struggle unfortunately. As Burny pointed out to me when he started, the game has a really terrible design in terms of introduction to the game. It pretty much expects you to have played DotA. That being said it's one of my favourite games and always will be (until DotA2) and if you're patient enough to stick with it it is really so much fun. Of course not everyone has the time or drive for such a harsh game but still, I really recommend it. got the basics down. been playing casual games. when should i step up to games that give me stats? also what disadvantages are there for being f2p?

I'd advise you not to play casual, same game more imbalanced.
Only disadvantage for f2p is that you can only play the free hero pool and this week's pool sucks.
Play stats games whenever you feel like it, it really doesn't matter especially not on a f2p account. People will cry and get mad but that happens all the time ^^.

ok so played a good bit of this now.
my last match was 6/2/6 so i didnt feed anywhere near as much as i have in the past and i back off a lot more. really liking chipper atm his rockets are epic. i dont think i am playing him right though as i think he is a ganker and as such i should be getting more kills right?

This new champion they added in todays patch, along with being a sona ripoff *trollface*, is probably one of the most noisy heroes ever in HoN (even worse than "SOOOOOOOLS BLESSING"). I lieeeek it.

Right, so now I have jumped on to LoL. I only got about 20 minutes to mess with it and I have to say that it is looking better. Yes the mechanics may be inferior but this is about 10 times better so far. It actually had an introduction for christs sake!
