Well I think it's pretty clear that the soldiers rocket jump is waaaay weaker now. (Ok, some Steam Forum Users disagree, with great arguments like "Yes, I use my rockets for shooting enemies not for shooting the ground, it's why they gave me this medal.")
But has anybody else got the feeling rocket damage itself has been reduced? I hit the ground right next to a medic with a crit rocket today and even hit him a few times with the shotty and he still wouldn't die.

I don't think damage is reduced cruel, but the jump is MESS'D UP.
STRAIGHT UP BOJANGLED.
Assuming it'll be fix'd on Monday.

I've had to play scout because soldier is slightly ruined now (especially for, say, gravelpit, where what used to be an easy jump to C is now bloody awkward).

Is the sticky jump the same? I'm not sure if I read it in the notes (or I may have imagined it) but does the sticky jump and the rocket jump share the same mechanic now?

Not tried stickyjumping since the update but from what I've read, sticky jumping was broken with the update and fixed with the fix afterwards.

Yes self damage has been reduced. Seems the fix with the demoman taking too much damage and 'force' from his stickies has been applied to the soldier and his rockets accidentally. I can only assume this was a mistake with the coding, although the fact it changed the properties of both the explosive weapons I can only imagine it was some corner cutting or general laziness which caused it.
You take less damage from your rockets and, as everyone has noticed, less 'force'.
I can't think of a better word for 'force'... Push?

sounds like demo and soldger explosive damage had the same values so some new intern proably changed the demo code not realiseing the soldger used the same class and thus new bug, easy mistake to make and easy to fix, hopefully but it sounds like a the soldger going to need his own damge class now. (i may be talking like this to due the horriends amount of coding iv done today trying to get my corsework up to spec)

At first I just thought my rocket jumping was appalling after a brief holiday, seeing as I kept missing the usual ledges. But then I saw this thread and thought ''Oh nice one Valve. Again''.
Hopefully it will be fixed very, very soon. At the moment, soldier is sorta ruined for me.
