After attempting to play a bit of every class since I started playing tf2 I now want to focus on one and try get half-decent.

So instead of clicking random I'd like you guys to pick me one. So if you think there's a class under used generally on the server or you'd like to pick spy and get lots of even easier kills  let me know.

Heavy is a under-played (sometimes) but hard to master due to how vulnerable they become to snipers (hi there!) and spies.

I'd advise against picking sniper or spy, due to how many there are on the server at any one time it tends to make the team worse if there's 3 of either.

Generally I'd go for: Soldier, Demoman, Scout or Medic - important match classes that are the best to become good with.

(And I don't think Pyro should be on that list )

Like reVert said, any one of solly, demo, scout or medic is a good shout; solly or demo will always be useful, not so much with scout and medic. It's a personal choice though, which one do you have the most fun playing and go with that one!

I said Medic out of pure self interest, it's always useful to have good medics around.

If you really want us to choose, go with a match class as revert suggested. Demoman is great fun when played with some thought, and you'll never asked to change class if you're playing Soldier. Ideally not Scout, but only because playing on the server can be infuriating enough as it is!

I find that I'm stupid enough to abandon players to heal others (and I hate when this happens to me when I'm a heavy)

It really depends if you want the competitive route or the pub route in my opinion.

Competitively mode and reVert highlighted the best classes to improve on, being good at any one of those makes you much more likely to get onto a competitive team, if that's what you want.

As for pubs, depends what you find the most fun!

lol yeah, basically anything is good except for pyro and scout 

but seriously, he you should play what he likes the most

As everyone else said, it depends on your play style. Personally, I love playing as soldier due to the versatility and mobility of the class, for example the use of rocket jumps and the need to develop a sense of prediction.

The only reason I play solly is to rocket jump around like a loon. I only get kills from crockets so that tells you alot about my playstyle!

Huh? Surely that's what you're supposed to do. I hate it when medics just stick with one player - what about healing the rest of us?!? I always heal everyone in order of most damage first and then only when it comes to ubering do I tend to stick with a player.
