Theres a guy on twitch whos leading the biggest TR outfit in North America, hes pretty much organizing up to 20 squads at once (5 platoons). Hes kind of a douchebag but also really interesting how he leads his outfit, alot of military slang being used to keep order. Link

Find myself watching his stream more than actually playing the game (in addition to it not running well on my machine until I upgrade)

They have different events on different nights...I've been on a couple of times since Thursday and there's been anything between half a squad and a full platoon playing.

You don't really have to hang with a specific outfit to play tactically. There are several platoons operating on every continent at any given point, you just have to coordinate with them using the leader and orders channel. You can even accumulate a massive zerg of randoms just by getting some directions into the orders channel, if you need some distraction or support. Sure, most of the zerg is braindead, but even if half of them roughly go in that direction, you have enough force to roll through anything or at least to have a fun fight.

I really wish I could play, but the SOE support is being a typical support... as in it's fucking useless. It's unlikely I get my account yet and I don't want to set up a new one, since it's probably also going to get banned, since I haven't changed anything on my PC and so the "cheats" that were supposedly detected are still there somewhere.

Yeah theres alot of open squads that are very organized. Just look in the squad tab, they usually mark themselves with tags like "teamwork" or "tactical". Been in alot of great ones just while playing on my own.

Most of those I've been in were pretty meh, so I reduced my play time quite a bit. Maybe they've gotten better over time now and I should just give it a whirl again.
