Yeah was announced a while back, but I find it so lame that I didn't care to mention. Seems to be a couple of arena maps, where you play against AI, like in those pits of death or whatever that was called.

And then Randy Pitchford in his unlimited genious said that one of the DLC packs might be... a couple of additional vehicles.

Heh odd. I found the arena to be way more appealing than the other DLC.
Maybe because I felt the game was too easy, especially on 2nd run-through.

The only reason that I would get this (having done a bit more reading about it) would be for the 2 extra skill points, and even then those can be added with the WillowTree editor. I can see this being the last bit of DLC, with maybe a patch before the funeral for the game as there is very little they can add to spice it up I believe. Still, hopefully they've learned from this experience (GAMESPY DOESN'T WORK AND SHOULDN'T BE USED, EVAR, BY ANYONE) and the inevitable sequal next year will make up for some of the shortfalls (lame story and repetative quests being my main bugbears).

I bravely rescued ClapTrap every single time, even when a huge dude with a rocket launcher was chasing me around in some cave. The problem is just, why do I have to drag all the stuff along with me, if I can only use it when I'm 5 levels older? That's what crates are for. Or take Torchlight for example, there is a crate in the town which is shared between all your characters for easy item exchange.

Basic stuff, really, except Gearbox didn't think of it. Not for free, anyway.

Game was terrible, looking back on it the shooting was meh, the physics were lol, the story was non-existent and the inventory and item system was pretty crap.

Overall terrible purchase and the DLC is just a kick in the teeth.

I wouldn't say it was terrible, I'd just say that it was flawed. I got quite a hell of a lot of playtime out of it and enjoyed it massivly, albeit mainly for the gunplay (which I liked) and the loot; the less said about the storyline and questing the better. Gearbox/2k kind of fucked up pretty much everything in how they've gone about patching (or not as the case is) the problems that have been there from the start and are STILL there (online play, random skill points being lost etc) and it isn't helped when they're releasing DLC that we now have to pay for!

I found the weapons to be the most compelling part of this game, actually. Everything just felt right when you squeeze the trigger, whatever the weapon. Smiley

I'm kinda stuck at level 26 after other games (mainly King's Bounty) captivated my attention and my free time. Sad

Hated the guns. Looked crap, enemies either dissolved or burnt in the exact same way every damn time and don't get me started on the electrical effect...

In my honest opinion I preferred Fallout 3.
