For £20 I'd be tempted

The main things that I'm concerned about with this game, are:

The near constant question: Will it run well on my box?

And secondly, what exactly is the gunplay like? Are we talking COD4 style leaning? Prone? Serious Sam style monster carnage?

Because the thing is, if it's Serious Sam style, whilst I love that, there's just very little point playing with friends.

That said, COD4 in hardcore mode is also a pretty meaningless team based experience, other than who's got defence and who's on assault.

aww man hardcore more ruins the cod4 mp experience so badly. i will never understand people's need to make a video game more "realistic". all it does is get rid of any pretence that there was skill and tactics involved and turns it into your run of the mill fragfest where one shot kills rule. blah

Free delivery and it's a physical copy, for £19.99. Pretty sweet, you'll have to dodge the royal mail strike though, the only downside i can think of. Otherwise wooooooooooooooooooo!

Off topic, I only ever played COD4 in hardcore mode (clocked up a good hundred or so hours), and whilst I did like it, I know what you mean, at times I was sure something was being lost.

Never got on with regular mode, though I did like the extra level of depth created by the radar. Made my style of play much less satisfying (Shotgun/Knife/Flashgrenade)

Why do you think this Basin?

Well on the gearbox forums the devs said those aren't the actual specs.

As for why it should be less demanding than TF2:

TF2 is a CPU hog and actually needs a lot of resources to perform prettily and painlessly. Borderlands is a slightly modified version of the Unreal 3 engine and we all know what wonders (and limitations) that engine has so you can safely assume if you run TF2 well, you can run Borderlands well. Gearbox have repeatedly said that the PC version is the best for gfx and since it was developed on the PC, I will hazard a guess and say that it will perform the best too.
