What I dislike about the game (and it's about the only major thing), is that it is not rewarding exploration. Let me explain: say you are in a new area and you just run somethere randomly, maybe because there is an interesting landmark or because you just got lost, because you forgot to look at the map.

Well... see an interesting piece of land? Don't even bother going there. It is clearly made for something and you will be sent there eventually by an appropriate quest. Until then, this place is disfunctional and you're not getting anything out of it, except for a couple of mobs, maybe.
Point in case: about every Tannis tape quest and most prominently the four bandits quest in Old Haven. The thing is, I found their stash the first time I got into that area, but it just wasn't working. Later I go there with a quest and it magically becomes a thing of purpose instead of a cool contraption. Or what's with several quest givers, that don't react to you in any way until you have the appropriate quest?
Don't bother exploring, just let yourself be pulled along by quests... Kinda dissapointing, as the world is big enough to just put some random shit and cool events there, like some epic monster or something that is NOT a target for some quest.
In other news, Old Haven was fun.
