As I still have paternity leave to use up I decided to have this week off. My wife has pursuaded her sister to have the kids and booked us 4 days in North Wales to celebrate our 5 year wedding aniversary. This is the first time we have been away without a juvenile chaperone.
I would be alot happier if I hadn't got an tooth abcess that the antibiotics don't seem to be touching, my face has swelled up to what feels like twice it's size.
Hopefully N Wales dentists are more competant than Kent ones.

OUCH I remember the last time I had one of those, They sliced through my gums with a knife then hoovered all the gunk out.. wasnt nice and was EXTREMELY painful! |

Its a bummer that u've health problems just when ur going away, but I hope u don't let it spoil a golden opportunity for some quality time with the other half. God knows, noone could do with it more right now than u 2. I hope u have a great time. btw, talking of ur health problems, hows that rash?  |

YAY! Kid free holiday, make the most of it mate. As for the teeth thing I had my wisdom teeth out a while ago and the only thing that helped was tripple strength Nurofen hourly, I was going through about a pack a day and I'm really supprised my liver didn't pack in!

Have a good one milli. About the tooth remember it's only pain.... with a bit of practice you can tell it to fuck off. BTW mucho surprise @Tom. I would have thought that people who play scout would have wisdom teeth put in!! |

Wales has the interwebs! Writing this in Starbucks, great time so far helped by a sat nav who likes spectacular scenery, on the way here it sent us down a single lane track through Snowdownia, nothing around for miles but kamakazi sheep and a very lost Lithuanian lorry driver. Can see Mt Snowdon from the park. The best view is from the swimming pool flumes tower. It is very hot and sunny - in Wales!
The abcess has nealy gone. My wife is wonderful (and sitting here)

Yay home after an 8 hour nightmare journey. We also went up Snowdon yesterday and came down the hard way (ie we walked instead taking a train) so we both ache like hell too. If anyone tells you Snowdon is an easy walk they either took the train both ways, are hardcore walkers or have never been near the damn place.
Will try and get some epic photos up tomorrow
