This problem has popped up a few times during gaming sessions, but it's getting more and more frequent, to the point I am rage quitting purely from my mouse pissing me off.

My MX1100R (same as the MX1100, but with a charger cable) will just stop responding for a while, I'm not sure to what extent; sometimes it'll just not respond at all (movement or mouse clicks) for 2-5 seconds (really fucking annoying) and I'm pretty sure it also has lots of little freezes, for example if I'm aiming to get a headshot I'll notice that the movement is stuttering (but only occasionally), it's very clear when I purposely try to draw circles on screen.

Does anyone know a fix for this, or if Logitech will let me have my money back?

Is it wireless? I had a logitech LX710 mouse/keyboard combo and I had the same problem. Wireless mice/keyboards run on the same frequencies as bluetooth, wi-fi etc. I think so it's possible it's getting interference. If it is wireless - I found that turning on the secure connection thing helped a bit - other than that I just unplugged/re-plugged it in when it was acting up.

Maybe try a driver/firmware update if available?

I've got all the latest drivers and stuff.

How do you turn on the secure connection? (I've looked in SetPoint and can't find anything)

Erm, I'm not sure as I don't use setpoint anymore - i think it's called Secure mode.

Thinking about it - it might only be for keyboards - but i'm pretty sure it helped with the connection

Lexi has the MX1100 and has had this issue with 2 of them now and both have been replaced under warranty. Gonna get a different mouse, as I think the laser engine is shafted. Never had this issue with any other wireless mouse before and if Logitech are retarded enough to use the same frequency as every other wireless device than they don't deserve ur business.

I don't think they really have a choice. I think it's got something to do with radio wave bands and their licensing etc. and only certain bands are available for certain purposes. I think bluetooth, wi-fi, microwaves, mobile phones, GPS, TV all work on about the same waveband (about 2.4Ghz) and hence cause interference with each other. I think that's why all wireless devices have the usual FCC statement along the lines of "this device will accept any interference from other devices".

I guess the results you get with any of these devices depends on the interference you get from other devices.

I think most wireless mice use the 2.4GHz frequency (even the Razer Mamba).

Have you ever tried to get a refund or an exchange for a different mouse?

@ Sam, This is the only wireless mouse I've experienced this issue with, having had mice from Packard Bell, 2 from Microsoft and the MX1000 from Logitech and not an issue. And since Terror is also having this issue I strongly believe that the laser engine has issue, be it interference or poor internal communication. And there are ways to filter out interference from other devices should they wish to go to the expense of doing so (like in the new Razor Mamba and it's DSSS technology).

@ Terror, Yes I have had to get refunds/exchanges for other mice, but not for this issue. It was usually for button failure (which is why I replaced my button failing MX1000 with a G9).

I was thinking more like "place needle on the reset button and jam it in" or "I spilt orange juice on mine and when it dried I sent it away and they replaced it".

they usually have some cunning way of telling when something has been water/fluid damaged - usually given away by the smell of oranges emanating from the circuit board Cheesy
