also to anyone not impressed by the demo (I felt mildly let down) the actual game is so so much better. They chose the most boring missions in the whole thing, and ive nearly got through it all today. But like that review says you have to like the first one.

Bunch of fixes for game errors and crashesJust having some issues.. the game randomly crashes to desktop after about 20 seconds of play.. no warning, no fuss.. asif I had never launched the game.. very strange

I fixed my bug by adding "-lv" to the launch options.. sucks cuz it takes away the gore.. so when zombies die, they fade away and no corpse or blood is left

YOURE GERMAN AND/OR AUSTRALIAN NOW LALZ! anyway: LOVE the game. Already played through Dead Center, Dark Carnival and Hard Rain. I like Dark Carnival for its epic rock music finale and hard rain for the awesome atmosphere. |

after 4th advanced run through of dead centre the mall mission is starting to grate. Its a tough nut to crack at least on my laggy connection, but at least its not a walkover, theres challenges to be had. My only other minor complaint is the matchmaking now seems to drop you into self hosting when it cant find any servers, ok accidentally clicking ok to self-host all the time was bad enough but forcing you into it is lame lame lame. the pings are almost always awful for self hosted l4d.
EDIT did i mention yet the AI survivors are now total retards who leave you to die whilst fawning over each other. Fair enough you shouldn't be playing with bots but i don't see how they got worse. Before they'd pair off when you and a bot were incapped, one to save each, now both go to save their bot friend whilst singing fuck the humans. They also won't pick up medkits in certain saferooms, this is worst when its the mall level and you need them to carry health because you're all going to die anyway. The game is tough on survivors now, they need to be able to throw grenades and not act like retards

FFS, after listening to the Dtoid podcast I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO tempted to get this. So much fapping over the melee weapons and how the game is balanced now . I've got a cheque clearing in a couple of days, will probably get it then. DAMN YOU DESTRUCTOID! |
