Anyone? Just finished it, very irritating bits at the start where I couldnt work out where to go, but it ended up being quite good. Bit of an arty no point game though, so if you're not into that, I'd stay away. Worth checking out if you are though.

Downloaded the other day but got a corrupted file, couldn't be bothered to download it again. Sounds like he's revamping it soon, so maybe I'll give it a chance then.

I downloaded and - for lack of a better word - played it.
Very unique and very moody. Highly recommended experience.

Right now I'm still digesting it and I have to conflicting reactions.
On one hand I'm a sucker for non-rational abstract stuff (like Lynch or some works of Tarkovsky), and this one plays right into that direction if you let it.
On the other hand I'm always searching for coherence, for threads tying things together. So while walking over this island I was wondering if all these clues would at the end create a complete picture.

But still this weird emotional residue I'm feeling is reward enough ...

Yeah, it's a pretty powerful ending isn't it? It doesn't make a complete sense, but I like to think there's enough to make a sort of analysis. Like you can tell who the guy is and what happened to him, but you aren't sure who you are, or what you're doing. But yeah, that final ascent is certainly something.

My friend was trying to get me to play The Path, and I played it a bit before telling him it sucked, then I showed him Dear Esther and he agreed. The Path is stupid, but DE has an extremely solid atmosphere. The sound design is no joke.
