I am having probs with my internet, i have a bt wirless router and belkin wirelss adapter, no probs for 18 months, after i got my pc working from scratch again i now have probs with the internet. One minute it will work ok, next it will just stop or go really slow, then might start working again. this does exactly the same with firefox. I manage to get the following from the problems and solutions thingy on the pc i'm also downloading adaware to see if i have virus etc, i'll also run an avg scan but i did one after i got the pc going and it found nothing.
Can anyone help? oh, and i played tf2 for 3 or 4 hours the other day with no probs, but had the internet probs when i came out of the game.

Your Issue is more than likely one of two things. If your PC is spyware and Viri free then its more than likely:-
1) Your WiFi connection
2) Internet Service from BT
I would go with you WiFi personally. WiFi is the biggest load of shit in the IT industry to date. Everyone thinks its great but its fucking shite. It gets effected by almost everything that receives or generates radio waves. i.e. mobile phone, hands free house phone, wireless mouse/keyboard, microwave to name the obvious ones. Also think about walls your going through which reduce signal and also any power cables in the walls that will effect it also.
If possible ALWAYS go wired. PowerLine adapters aren't great but they are a damn site better than Wifi.
If you can plug your machine or other machine (laptop) directly into your wireless router via RJ45cat5 cable and you experience no issues with internet then its the Wifi that is the problem. SOLUTION: GO WIRED.
If you still experience internet issues on this directly wired machine then it's either the router or your internet line. As your on BT its an ADSL(MAX?) line. So ensure your router is wired into the master socket that comes directly into the house, and that ALL other phones / extension cables are disconnected. If you still experience issues, Its BT that are the issue. SOLUTION: CALL BT AND CALL THEM GAY (as Rippy is right about BT, they ALWAYS deny responsibilty as they would be responsible for loss of income should it affect you in that way, working from home on a business line).
If internet is then fine from master socket with nothing else connected, then the issue is your wiring/equipment around your house. SOLUTION: ENSURE ROUTER IS NOT ON AN EXTENSION LEAD AND THAT ALL SOCKETS AND EQUIPMENT HAVE AN ADSL FILTER IN PLACE. CONNECT ITEMS ONE BY ONE AND KEEP RETESTING TILL YOU FIND CAUSE.
