Could be a DNS issue maybe as it's across different browsers? Have you tried restarting your router, or disconnecting/reconnecting to it? (Or use the "repair connection" option if you right click on the connection) If this works, try setting your DNS servers manually to something like OpenDNS (google it) My vista recently messed itself up, breaking the ability to use " http://localhost/" and instead I had to use 127.0.0.1 which has something to do with the HOSTS file (in system32/drivers/) localhost is a DNS entry in your host file. Doubt its a DNS issue anyway. Even if lookups (forwarders to external DNS Servers) were shagged your local DNS resolver cache would still hold the relevant information of addresses you've already been to. I have seen this before recently, and turned out to be AVG. If you have any security programs that monitor or manipulate network traffic uninstall them and see how it goes.

Unfortunately for Vista there is not much available free. I use Symantec Endpoint Protection (I use enterprise version which doesnt need a license ) Have a hunt round web to see if you can find it (got scourned last time for mentioning availabilty of software ). Its a bit of a resource hog (lots of memory and hard disk space) but it works pefectly fine.

Howdy, haven't got back to this in a while. Basically didn't do any of the suggestions since whenever the issue happened, I couldn't access this page, so would just restart and forget about it. But saved the pages on my desktop and did the IP and Tracert test. Haven't tried uninstalling AVG, kinda reluctant to a bit. Using McAffee for what it's worth
