It's changing the weapon the other team sees you wielding in disguise. I think before it always gave you the slot 2 weapon which could be a giveaway.

I think you forgot to look at his words, he was writing in past tense, (hence the "was" statement) so he was actually fully aware that it is not the case any more.

My goal is to kill people, especially medics and it's much easier to shot a medic than it is to backstab them, provided that they are paying attention.
