Ah, good stats there Cruel, cheers. I think you're right on both medic points - but 'a)' is because you're a good medic! The medic & soldier relationship is a whole different topic, but I will say there's a *huge* difference between totally unassisted soldier and one being buffed/healed. It's without a (good) medic around where I used to do ok, but now I feel like a bit of a weakling.
I wonder what kind of unlocks we'll get (generally, not specifically). Like the demo, it's a bit of an all-rounder and it's hard to see what Valve would do.

Possibly agree with Claws. I play a fair bit of soldier and he is not quite the death wielding nemesis he once was.

On the topic of übers: Agreed that a regular über is usually wasted on a soldier and is better used on a demo or pyro. However, as it has been stated, with kritzkrieg it's a different matter. Which leads to my point: Kritzkrieg is often dismissed by medics. Granted, übers are more important to break chokepoints and remove sentries, but I think - depending on the situation - one of two medics might, but definitely one of three medics should utilize the kritzkrieg.

Credit should be given to claws here who has already realised this. (Not to say that others haven't, but he's the only person who I can immediately recall using the kritzkreig with any regularity.)

Hehe, this is where we go in circles ; to make a 3rd medic with kritz viable you want a strong attack with a good, 'spare' soldier/demo, and it doesn't happen as often as I'd like.
Gas is right that it used to be pretty awesome. I don't think the class is underpowered or needs a buff as such, but let's hope for the soldier/demo unlockables next before sniper.

I forsee a special ammo type. A single shot sentry buster, or something like that. Maybe a antipersonel rocket with enlarged area effect, but doesn't damage buildings. However I'm all for Rippy's idea of a belt fed rocket launcher

How about a rocket launcher that shoots out team mates? Load a clip fully of heavys with a spare pyro or two, and shoot them into the enemy lines?

How about a parachute.
The soldier gets a parachute and his rocketjumps are much more powerful so that he can jump high and far. But he will need his parachute otherwhise he will fall to a clumpsy painful death.
