but its only 2 shots then a long reload time... so it almost evens out..
if your a crap shot your screwed!
also.. the scout is supposed to be strong against medics
like the sniper is strong against heavies ect

Still it's not meant to be easy for the sniper to kill a heavy, just easier, and it already is easier for the scout to kill medics!

If they are getting more damage I'll stop playing medic because I always get shot at least twice when some heavy doesn't realize how much the scouts threaten me!

Updated classes are ALWAYS overpowered at first!
remember the pyro when he first for the backburner?
now hes relatively balanced
same goes for the heavy (although latest natasha update has overpowered him once again)

I've done that before on cap 2 on the first stage of dustbowl, the heavy ran out waiting to get ubered and got merked by Junta waiting on the stairs!

@Chaos - Yeah, but I play scout, and I regularly take out medics before the heavy has had a chance to do much about it. And there are much better scouts out there than me... you wonder what those guys can do with this gun, ammo restrictions or not. I feel a bit like Mark does about medic.

I've done that sorta thing before, but with that, there's always the chance the heavy does notice and you get bummed. I'm thinking side-swiping the pair, blasting the medic away with out the heavy noticing, then chasing him down to finish him off

Or that my ubersaw takes away your health because you got too close

I think the airblast thing he gets might be enough to blast the medic away from the heavy and then follow up with a nice pistol mag to the chest of the medic.

you only get 2 shots! thats it!
how many times have you hit the medic in the first 2 shots?
and dont forget the kickback, your not gonna get the second one in that easily!

and if you fail those 2 shots your horsemeat!

If it gets more damage it's OP if not it might be a slight downgrade against heavy-medics where the heavy pays attention [RARE!]

It's with low skill ceilings really, where you produce something useful in the hands of average players that becomes devastating in the hands of skilled ones.

Yeah, I can hit a medic in two shots, and it only needs to happen often enough to ruin ubers. It doesn't matter about dying when I play scout sometimes - if I die once or twice but take your medic, it's probably worth it. If you buff scouts at the expense of medics you get less medics. No medics leads to teams full of spies and snipers and misery for everyone. Obviously this is all conjecture, so let's hope it's mostly useless and we can all get back to killing scouts

Flame thrower/BB anyone? Nat/Sascha? Kritz/uber? All the unlocks so far have been of the same, and most of the standard weapons are the same, thats the joy of this game mate; easy to pick up, difficult to master. As the scout had one of the steepest learning curves I think its fair enough he gets something with a bit more damage output if he trades off more ammo. Like Chaos said aswell, it'll probably get nerfed in 2 weeks when everyone moans about it, so theres nothing to worry about!

all Im saying is that yes it might be overpowered now.. but its gonna get better eventually..

Valve are always mixing up the damage done by classes.. Demo is the best example of how they keep nerfing and reverting the stickies!
and latest is heavy.. hell get nerfed again sometime

We all know valve dont know how to release a stable and ready to play game... but they do patch it and try their hardest to make it work in the end!

TBH I don't think it's an easy task. I don't know if they only balance it in-house or if they have a group of beta-testers, but even then I guess it's difficult to make changes which will work for all skill levels. But I agree that the frequent updates help Valve to adjust problems quickly (say whatever you want about Steam, but in that regard it's a valuable tool).
