As for German insults I always was quite partial to "Go take a shit" ("Geh kacken") and "Inflate my shoe" ("Du kannst mir mal den Schuh aufblasen"). Not really all that... insulting, but quite nice. Also there`s "egg file" ("Eierfeile") directly from the Ruhrpott, another classic. As for english, a nice full sounding "git" is my choice.
Also, your mother hears a who. Kind of a roundabout pop culture reference insult thingy.
