I recently found some very well priced USB2/FireWire (I like FireWire) Maxtor 1TB drives (on Amazon.co.uk - beat the price of all the other sites I saw for 1TB drives), and I got a smaller WD USB drive (which was cheaper) for my parents.
I really need to check out eSata connections for any further ones for my backup solutions despite the cost. Depending on how well it works (I'd want hot swappable if possible) the speed increase should be good for backups, which in my case take up many gigabytes (even with using bart, a backup program, to copy changes only, depending on what I've done that week).
Anyone know if eSata is hot swappable? (IE; Safely Remove Hardware).
Also, anyone who doesn't have a full backup of their data disconnected from their PC and power source, well, good luck if you get crashes like made me reinstall this week
