Just bought it on DVD from Play, £23. Better than a £35 DL thru Steam. Gotta keep my 'redundant' DVD drive in use after all, eh Gas  Anyone else taking the plunge? |

The singleplayer is most certainly more syndicate or diablo-with-squads, which appeals to me a lot (I liked Chaos Gate  ), so it's more a "tactical squad strategy" rather then base building and resource management. Tempting to get it ASAP but I just recently brought Mass Effect to play and have Fallout 3 to finish...sigh, choices choices. Will get it soon though. |

played some online matches now.
Its not as hard as CoH because you don' t have too many squads/troops.
Its a lot of fun, but I it takes time to spy out the special abilities of the squads ect.

I read that post and agreed with everything (including the Mass Effect and Fallout 3 stuff!). I played the first DoW at a mates house and although it was fun watching him play, I suck at RTS games and just kept getting owned hardcore! I've been reading reviews of it ( IGN and Gamespot if anyones interested) and really like the sound of the single player, not really that fussed about the online stuff, but I'll give it a bash when I do get it. I'll probably get it on Steam when the price comes down as GFWL has been nothing but heartache and fear everytime I try to download the Fallout 3 patch/DLC! |

It's shit. Can't load saves in Fallout 3 until it logs in, how crap is that.
How they decided that running DOW2 in Steam with GFWL on top was a good idea I don't know. Money being paid to THQ most likely.

The only good thing about GFWL is the Xbox intergration (and I only mean that it intergrates, not that they did it well or anything because they didnt)... thats it!

One of the greatest news which I found: Tales of War. This is a video/audio - podcast by a guy named Bridger. He did a great job with Tales of Heroes (in Company of Heroes). This will help a lot to get known all special abilities and so on. Its a lot of fun to watch/listen. Have fun with it! |

Got my copy of DoW2. GFWL is borked though and won't let me log in to my accounts or enter the secondary unlock code to play single player. Won't make the mistake of buying GFWL product again  |
