Then again, Deathmatch modes seemed like a poor idea until Valve made them into Arena and actually made them fun.
Hahahahahaha! You can't be serious. That has as much similarity to "deathmatch" as Capture the Flag does to Payload. The agonising wait times are absolutely crap, and is one major reason I stopped playing CS:S in any capacity, death is boring!
Valve might have appealed to certain people (a limited amount according to how popular the game type is) but it really sucks staying out one round if you get killed early on, so it sets you on the bench.
