Silly reasons really. In the main, Garage Band and another program that I've forgotten the name of that does multi track sound things. Remember the radio thingy for "The Fort"? Well that was using the mac to put it together. But the program is a little too much for the G4. and trying to get it over to the PC in a workable format was a pain. But it's just a daft idear all in all. I'd have to be in a position where I had a couple of hundered pounds spare to waist on getting a decent second hand G5

Bit off topic (not that that matters here) but didn't want to make a new thread just to ask, can someone recommend to me a decent cpu fan (Socket LGA775)?

Titan Fenrir perhaps? Got one on my CPU (different socket, but the spec indicates it's also compatible with yours) and it runs lovely and cool.

I have a Zalman 9700, the same as Dibble's, going spare if you want that - I don't think I'd want much for it. The only problem is that it's at home so I'd have to get my mum to post it to you - not that I think that would be an issue, I made sure it was mostly together when I took it off.

I'd bite sams arm off for that tbh, but if you want a new one and don't wanna spend too much, the arctic freezer 7 pro thing is pretty good value.
But tbh, buy sams one, it's a great bit of kit

I applauded you Hzza as I was assuming you were talking about Sam's arm. However now I think that might not be the case

Thanks for the suggestions, all. I went with mode's recommendation in the end since I've heard that it's easy to install (I is lazy). Thanks for the offer anyway, Deadly.
