As the title says I wrote a little script for my friends and tought it would be nice to share it with you. It`s nothing special really and it`s not yet really customizable, but it gets the job done.
Which job, you ask? Well, it has three main functions which I will now shamelessly (and partly) quote from my short readme.
1. Changing some stuff in the autoexec.cfg.
- Items now glow red for better visiblity.
- i: Switch to third person view (shotgun sounds seem to be bugged)
- STRG: ducktoggle (push once to duck, again to stand up. I prefer this very much over holding to stay down.)
2. Adding a firing mode selector menu on button "o".
3. Adding a zombie fun menu on button "p". Incidentally also includes bullet time.
To install it, find your left4dead folder (Steam\Steamapps\common\left4dead\left4dead\) and copy the folders "cfg" and "scripts", integrating them into the folders of the same names. You should be prompted to overwrite RadialMenu.txt - do so. In case of an emergency there is an original, unaltered RadialMenu.txt in the backup folder.
If you are prompted to overwrite your autoexec.cfg you probably have written one yourself and should know how to integrate everything
Now before you go off playing with it: This script assumes you have more or less unaltered keybinds. Shooting will always be bound to the left mouse button, crouching is CTRL and i, o, b and p is also used.
Well, you`ll figure it out yourself. You can`t destroy L4D beyond recognition with this script, so just play around if you feel like it.
Tell me what you think and/or would like to see.
