One thing is I don't even think dual link DVI supports that many pixels yet (3x1920x1200 x60Hz) - it's a max bandwidth of (according to wikipedia): (Dual Link) 7.92 Gbit/s - seems like a lot but no doubt it reaches it's limits.

I think they'd need to come out with some kind of 2 dual DVI input system (so you can get 3 monitors out of it), or do it purely in the hardware (although then...what's stopping anyone using it if they get the drivers?). Hmm, tough call for them.

I was routing through my shed and found a really old 15" tft... never heard of the brand and dont really care tbh... Im now using that to extend the desktop and it looks rather nice... max resolution of it is 1024*768 so you can guess how old it is...
got it showing the clock, sidebar, WMP (HL2 skin looks sweet) vent and everest info...
may have to upgrade it eventually.. maybe a 20" Widescreen or something

So yeah, besides breaking 2 heat sinks this weekend I also inherited a second hand 17" monitor I'm planning to use for...something because I need it to do...stuff. I guess as I have 2 DVI outs on my graphics card I just plug the second monitor in the second slot and away I go?

Also, any tips as to what I can use my second monitor for as I really, genuinly have no use for it, I'm just rigging it up to show off Tongue.

Yeah...I can't really recommend any particular uses for having dual monitors other than I know I like having dual monitors and I wouldn't readily go back to having a single monitor.

DisplayFusion is a very useful program for multiple monitors - allows you to have a taskbar on each monitor and different wallpapers on each one.
