Server 1 is currently affected by a TF2 bug that randomly causes a disconnect when the map changes at the end of a round. Normally, the server does manage to change map, but some players find that they are dumped off the server while there is the delay in changing the map. A simple reconnect t the server seems to work for most people.

It would appear that this is affecting multiple Valve games - I am keeping an eye on it and may try a server re-install. However, I fear that this is a bug we have to wait for Valve to fix Sad

Many of us were getting timeout'ed at other times too ; think i got disconnected about 3 or 4 times. Is that the same bug, or is something else going on?

I myself haven't seen time-outs at any other time during the game and nobody else reported that. I know that you yourself reported lag etc during the game. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else had the same problem.

I'll be re-installing server 1 at some point soon anyway (during the day at the weekend hopefully).

I thought the server crashed last night when the map switched to DB, I got timed out and had to reconnect.

Happened to loads of people at about 11:50 last night (gravelpit) - certainly me, cheez and dodgyemu, but several more too I think:

Yes - that was a steam error and I know it affected more than our server Wink - client disconnects. I was affected - think everyone was.

Steam friends also went down for "maintenance".

Well it's reassuring that it's not our server. After the upset we had with gameservers, I'd hate to think we we're gonna have issues with Rackage too.

I always go and have a little cry after doing Fourier series, so I wouldn't know.

I noticed when playing on my home connection that I occasionally got the 'Disconnect in 30 seconds' red text showing up as the map ended- it always reconnected once the server had switched, however. Could just be at home, haven't been able to try my uni connection on it yet.
