The problem is that all of the alcohol in the tampon is absorbed into blood in one time creating a huge overdose. When drinking normally alcohol is pretty much released gradually into the bloodsystem of our body and the liver is trying to hande it. With the tampon the alcohol rush can be too big - the liver cant handle it - presto, you have a poisoning.
