Strewth! I haven't played since middle school (9 to 12 years old). I played trumpet for a while, then figured that tuba would be easier. Discovered that it's a very heavy instament to carry home, so as the school had no more trumpets or cornets I opted for a euphonium (a smaller tuba).

At the end of the day I was rubish and quite frankly scared of the brass instrument teacher who once told me "Get the scales right or I'll throw you out of this room on your face!" Sad So with encouragment like that I quit.

I more apresiate music than create it. However I've found a bit of software called "Garage Band", which seems to be invented for talentless souls such as I Cheesy

Garageband is most likely the BEST piece of music software I have ever seen!

I wouldnt use it to record an album or anything but theres LOADS you can do in it... and its FREE with all macs starting at about 700 quid Cheesy
I used it to record stuff and play around a lot when i was learning to record/produce music and even Timberland (prick) says its the best too... cant argue with that really

You can certainly spend silly money for something with 'Gibson' written on it. Mine is a Fender Tele ; not fancy, but plays really nicely, I love it Smiley

I studied music performance and tech at college, massive music buff me! I play bass and guitar although haven't for a year or so out of lazyness and not being able to have my gear set up the whole time Sad I got a pretty nice 5 string rusting at the back of my wardrobe BTB500 (similar, but mines red) and a nice little 300 watt amp, can't remember the make though (oh the shame)! For a college project I charted my attempts to add a tremelo bar to a Squire P-Bass (a la Les Claypool) and broke the neck Sad. Then I bought a real nice Fender P-Bass which is proudly on display in my bedroom, collecting dust and rust! I've got some songs recorded somewhere, I'll try and dig them out later. No liability is accepted on behalf of me or my music for any pschological or physical damage caused by said tracks making sides split with laughter

lol I did spend a lot of money on a Gibson les paul custom shop Cheesy over 2 grand and its AMAZING to play and the tone is lovely...

A Fender Tele is an awsome guitar though.. very versatile and well made! tone is great on a good one and plays like a dream.. never owned one but maybe one day
