Hello one and all.
I've got a question for you. Do you have 1.5GB of SD ram 133mhz in three sticks of 512MB going for next to nothing (prefferably right next to nothing)?
Senario is this. I do a little bit of moonlight now and again to earn a couple of extra pennys here and there. So one of the members of my archery club wanted a hand getting a network installed into their office. So a couple of hundered meters of network cable, a dozen sockets, a smeg load of trunking and manny mugs of tea later and they have a nice old fashioned wired network. Well they do after you do stuff with cat5 cables, hubs and tinker with XP a bit. Anyway, kicking around in the corner of a cuboard, all alone and unloved was a MAC G4 tower. Apparently they wern't using it anymore, so I brought it off them out of the money they gave me. Turns out is works OK after a clean up. And my brother helped me out with a re-image on the OS and some other usefull bits and pieces of software. Happy days! Another gadget to play with.
Now this brings me around to my scrounge. The Mac currently has 512MB in it over three slots (x1 256MB, x2 128MB). In a Clarkson type manor, I intend to give it "MORE POWER!" by maxing out the memory in it. So a bit of reading up and apparnetly this thing will take up to 1.5GB of SD ram running at 133mhz. Either CL2 or CL3, but as always, all the ram modules need to be the same CL.
So I know this is cheaky, but I figured that that before I go and buy some old ram I should ask if there is anyone out there kind enough to donate any 512MB SD ram modules that they don't need. You never know unless you ask
